Sofina Foods is currently recruiting an IT Computer Technician to support the IT needs of its plant facilities and offices in Ontario. This position will be responsible for the IT support at our offices and plants in Hanover Mississauga and Chepstow. Part of the Operational Excellence IT and Major Projects Vice-Presidency and under the authority of the Infrastructure and IT Support Sector Coordinator the incumbent is mainly responsible for providing a high-level of IT customer service and support to Sofina end-users as well maintaining and supporting the computer equipment at Ontario Purpose and DutiesProvide effective remote and on-site helpdesk support to after hour support as hardware/software installations endpoint deployments configuration and upgrade analyzes troubleshoots and repairs computer systems hardware and computer peripherals (desktops laptops printers scanners access points etc.)Provision and manage user accounts (Windows Unix Telephony etc).Deploy and maintain critical equipment and participate in the implementation of best practice security standardsProvide onsite support to the Network in network server and/or workstation all activities as required through internal processes and onsite computer duties as assignedQualificationsCompletion of a Computer Systems Technology or similar program.3 5 years of related experience.A have a working knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware software support print drivers and basic application working knowledge of operating systems and standard business working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite and Microsoft Active DirectoryKnowledge of VoIP and Octopus ITSM is considered an of networks; TCP/IP protocolsStrong customer service and communication to work independently and within a problem-solving organization and prioritization skillsAbility to meet important deadlinesAbility to lift to 50 (French/English) is an assetWorking Conditions:Travel to facilities within Ontario is required periodically.
