Job Description
As an HR Generalist for Novolex the successful candidate will provide support to the Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources Department.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Act as point of contact for employees questions and concerns.
- Recruit employees for all hourly positions.
- Welcome and onboard new hires.
- Complete assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics turnover ratios termination hire and transfer data and other information assigned.
- Maintain time and attendance records in our timekeeping system.
- Payroll processing
- Assist in informing new employees of Human Resource policies and programs as needed.
- Perform general office support functions and assists area employees as necessary.
- Participates in GMP and food safety training. Follows GMP policy. Reports all food safety concerns with urgency.
- At least one year of related experience in a Human Resource position.
- Basic understanding of Human Resource functions and record keeping requirements.
- General knowledge of E-Verify FMLA ADAAA and state laws.
- Strong Excel knowledge
- Spanish speaking ability strongly preferred

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or related field required.
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
