Job Summary
Position Summary:
A Labor Pool (shop helper) assists with daily shop operations supports technicians maintains cleanliness handles materials and ensures a safe and organized work environment. The role will report through EHS and function as a flexible labor resource focused on improving workplace organization housekeeping and safety conditions across all departments
Must be able to work any shift: 1st 6am - 2pm 2nd 2pm - 10pm or 3rd 10pm - 6am
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor including sweeping waste removal and tidying workstations.
- Restock and organize inventory label and deliver materials and track completed work within the shop.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment such as drills grinders saws presses CNC routers 3D printers and other machinery as required.
- Follow safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide support in material handling including lifting moving and positioning items sometimes up to 35 lbs or more.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
6 months prior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
WORK CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
