Senior Design Specialist (Piping)

Position Summary:

JGMS Government Services is hiring a Senior Design Specialist to join our team. This position will provide essential technical knowledge and perform design and drafting work as described below. This position serves as a senior-level designer performing assignments of advanced complexity. This position is full-time for a duration of six to nine months. Work will be performed on-site in either Greenville SC or Houston TX.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in computer aided design (CAD) with demonstrated experience with computer aided
• Use drafting applications to originate and produce drawings with minimum supervision
• 3D modeling experience required (S3D preferred)
• Read interpret and generate design drawings with minimal input from a member of the engineering staff.
• Must have the ability to walk down field systems with minimal guidance interpret field direction generate minor design details create new drawings modify existing drawings and direct junior drafters

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have a minimum of an associate degree in a field related to the position and a minimum of 10 years progressive experience in drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred)
• Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders) State and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design
• Background and experience must include drafting/designer experience in engineering fields such as electrical mechanical structural communications architectural fire protection or civil

Security Clearance

The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/DoD Security Clearance - Secret Top Secret L or Q is required.

Background Check and Screenings
