Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses (RN) to support adult ICU units in a high-acuity hospital setting. Candidates will be assigned to units based on experience and must be comfortable working in fast-paced complex critical care environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in adult ICU/CCU settings
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and critical care interventions
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients including ventilated and high-acuity cases
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR system
Key Requirements:
- Active New York RN License (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU/critical care experience (within the past 2 years)
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers or similar-sized acute care facilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and orientation
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Epic EMR experience
- Prior experience in high-acuity ICU environments
