Business Office Student Staff

JOB PURPOSE:

The Campus Recreation Business Office Student Staff (BOSS) are the first people patrons see when they enter the gym. This position is customer service centric being the first line of departmental contact for all patrons entering and using Half Acre Gym and facilitating access at our aquatics facility. This position manages sales answers questions - in-person and via phone as well as monitors and enforces facility access. BOSS staff are a key role for Campus Recreation operations and were looking for responsible and dedicated individuals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This posting is searching for applicants who can begin working Summer 2026 or August 2026 (please specify in your Cover Letter which youd be available for).
• Greet and welcome every person that enters Half Acre Gymnasium
• Process daily sales made with credit cards cash and check
• Oversee facility access to ensure our access and usage policies are upheld.
• Manage the front desk phone and be able to answer and/or direct calls throughout the gym
• Track and manage lost-and-found items
• Answer questions and direct patrons to resources and departments as able

Scheduling Requirements

• Ability to work 2-3 weekend shifts per month
• Able to work for at least two full semesters
• Ability to work over University Breaks not required but is encouraged when able.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Current University of Wyoming Student

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous Customer Service Experience

Previous Point of Sale Experience
