Job Description
The Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WAs next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.
The project includes the design construction operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels seawater intake system a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant groundwater system drinking water storage and pump system supported by civil electrical and bulk earthworks.
The Role
This entrylevel role supports the Materials team on site and gives you handson experience in the field helping you to build a pathway into materials management logistics and warehouse operations. Under supervision you will assist with the offloading receipt storage and issuing of materials while learning ASWA systems and procedures.
Reporting to the supervisor your daily tasks and responsibilities will include:
Adhere to safety procedures
Assist with coordinating the safe and timely delivery of materials and equipment to site
Participate in inspections and basic audits of indoor and outdoor storage areas to ensure materials are stored safely
Support the Materials Team by identifying discrepancies and escalating issues for review and resolution.
Carry out general housekeeping duties and assist with maintaining material laydown areas and warehouses in a clean and orderly condition.
