About Us:
God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness stress management and community outreach.
Position Summary:
The Intake Coordinator manages the initial registration for new clients acting as the primary point of contact to ensure a smooth efficient entry into services. They verify insurance gather medical histories complete necessary documentation and collaborate with our mental health staff to determine appropriate care levels ensuring a supportive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review process and track incoming referrals from various sources.
- Screen clients for service appropriateness and conduct interviews regarding mental health history and current needs.
- Verify insurance eligibility obtain prior authorizations and schedule intake appointments with clinical staff.
- Work with clinical teams for case assignment and link clients to appropriate community resources.
- Provide urgent intervention and support over the phone to patients in distress.
Competencies:
- Exceptional communication (verbal/written)
- Empathy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Work Setting:
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in psychology social work or related field is required; high school diploma may be acceptable depending on experience.
