The Department of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of WisconsinPlatteville is accepting applications for the position of Director of Admissions and Recruitment.
The Director is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight for undergraduate and transfer admissions and recruitment. This position leads the planning development implementation and assessment of comprehensive recruitment strategies designed to meet institutional enrollment goals and advance student access diversity and success.
The Director exercises independent judgment serves as a liaison to central admissions supervises professional and support staff manages budgetary and operational resources and collaborates extensively with campus partners to ensure alignment with the Universitys strategic enrollment plan and priorities.
This is a full-time benefit and paid leave eligible position with a salary of $98000 per year.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Recruitment & Enrollment Planning
Develop and implement annual admissions and recruitment goals and inclusive outreach plans aligned with institutional enrollment targets.
Use enrollment data market analysis and pipeline metrics to inform recruitment strategy and provide input into the Universitys Strategic Enrollment Plan.
Evaluate recruitment effectiveness and recommend adjustments to improve yield access and market position.
Admissions Operations & Policy Oversight
Oversee undergraduate and transfer admissions operations including application review admission decisions residency determinations and academic credit evaluation.
Ensure compliance with Universities of Wisconsin state and federal regulations related to admissions and recruitment.
Support direct admission initiatives and transfer pathways as applicable.
Recruitment & Outreach
Oversee on- and off-campus recruitment activities designed to provide a positive student-centered experience while maximizing enrollment yield.
Collaborate with marketing to ensure consistent market-informed messaging across recruitment communications and events.
Cultivate relationships with college deans faculty staff community leaders high schools and community colleges.
Staff Leadership & Management
Recruit train supervise evaluate and coach professional and support staff exercising full supervisory authority including hiring performance management discipline and approval of work hours.
Foster a collaborative inclusive and high-performing team culture grounded in trust accountability and professional development.
Lead staff effectively through periods of organizational and enrollment change.
Manage the admissions and recruitment budget ensuring effective allocation of resources and fiscal responsibility.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors supporting recruitment efforts.
Collaboration Compliance & Service
Serve on the Enrollment Management leadership team and divisional committees as the liaison to central admissions aligning academic program admission with university enrollment strategies.
Collaborate with Academic Affairs Financial Aid Student Affairs STARS Athletics ITS and PAIRS to support enrollment and student success.
Participate in required safety training and adhere to University safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree higher education leadership business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated supervisory and personnel management experience including hiring training performance evaluation and developing and implementing recruitment or enrollment strategies.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use metrics to inform decision-making.
Excellent written oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours including some weekend and evenings
Experience with data interpretation and reporting
Valid Drivers license and ability to operate a motorized vehicle
