Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for patients undergoing chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant (BMT) treatments. The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient oncology experience particularly in managing leukemia and lymphoma patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in an inpatient oncology/BMT unit
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and care planning
- Manage patients with hematologic malignancies (leukemia & lymphoma)
- Deliver therapeutic interventions and monitor patient responses
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical standards
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Key Requirements:
- Active RN License (New Jersey or Compact)
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient oncology experience
- Experience with leukemia and lymphoma patient populations
- Strong clinical communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification
- Telemetry experience
- BSN degree
