Job Summary
JOB TITLE: Fiber Plant ManagerFLSA STATUS: EXEMPTREPORTS TO: Site Leader SUMMARY:Plans directs and controls all activities of AJ Nonwovens Fiber Extrusion operation consisting of 50 M pounds of fiber extrusion capacity with approx. 70 associates with 3 production team leads and full technical and maintenance staff on-site. This operation supports fiber requirements for AJNW operations and direct outside sales. Looking for a hands-on process focused and involved JOB FUNCTIONS:Integrated with Senior Leadership team participating in overall Business Strategy development Drives profitable growthPlanning and scheduling for fiber productionDrive IT improvements with current systems and processesDynamic leader who can act as change agent on our LEAN journeyEnsures Fiber operations are acting with synergy within total siteDevelops Fiber metrics consistent with business performance objectives Accountable and responsible for Safety Quality and Productivity of Fiber Operations EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelors Degree Chemical Engineering a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook) and JD EdwardsStrong verbal/written communication skills and basic arithmeticExtrusion experience highly desiredAbility to read and interpret complex documentationPrevious leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing Leadership background is highly valuedWorking in a union environment a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
