Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Progressive Care / Medical Step-Down (MSDU) to join a high-acuity intermediate care unit. This role involves caring for adult patients requiring close monitoring and advanced clinical support beyond a general medical-surgical setting.
Key Requirements:
- Active New York RN License (must be in hand at submission no exceptions)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Epic EMR experience (required)
- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7
- First-time travelers accepted
Clinical Skills Required:
Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response:
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Participation in Rapid Response / Code Teams
IV Therapy & Phlebotomy:
- Peripheral IV line care and management
Respiratory Care:
- Nasal cannula oxygen masks portable oxygen
- Non-invasive airway management (e.g. BiPAP)
Additional Skills:
- Infection control and isolation precautions
- Experience with telemetry and continuous monitoring
