Key Contributions
You will have demonstrable experience in the Utility and/or Telecommunications Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) asset management asset planning and network modeling sectors. You excel in translating complex business problems into impactful this role you will be formulating solutions by:
Establishing deep understanding of GridOS Plan and Geospatial Network Modeling (GNM) systems for our existing customers and prospects across the Growth Region including network analysis planning optimization and geospatial visualization capabilities.
Translating electrical planning standards and regulatory requirements across diverse markets in Growth Region and mapping them to the GE GridOS Plan solutions offering
Becoming the Trusted Advisor with our customers planning engineers GIS team members and internal GE Vernova team members across multiple time zones and cultural contexts
Strong Commercial Acumen with experience with software sales able to deliver to targets express strong value propositions while understanding customers buying processes
Presenting and demonstrating GE Vernovas GridOS Plan and GNM solutions at various technical and executive levels across the Growth Region; using impactful approaches to demonstrating solutions
Researching deployed GridOS Plan solutions in the Growth Region and building experience to tell impactful stories about successful solutions that have been deployed to solve critical business challenges
Leading and validating technical proposals for GridOS Plan implementations to ensure alignment with customers planning requirements and grid expansion needs across diverse regulatory environments
Enthusiastically presenting GE solutions at planning conferences utility forums and industry events across Growth Region to increase awareness and drive demand for our GridOS GNM solutions
Interfacing with GridOS Plan Pre-Sales teams globally and supporting building a community to develop best practices for utility planning solutions across Growth Region markets
Participating in customer meetings and on-site proof-of-concepts to position GE Vernova GridOS Plan solutions during the sales lifecycle
Leveraging extensive experience in Utility or Telecommunications planning as solution vendor or solution consumer to retain and expand market share in the GIS software domain across the Growth Market
Becoming the Voice of the Customer and interfacing with product management to drive GridOS Plan roadmap development for Growth Region customer requirements
Defining GridOS Plan system configuration and designing the architecture by meeting customer planning requirements and GE standards for network modeling and analysis across diverse regional standards
Eligibility Requirements
Able to work from home as required OR regional offices supporting Growth Region operations
Travel may be required up to 30% across Growth Region
Required Qualification and Experience
Masters Degree in a relevant discipline (for example Geomatics Geospatial Information Systems Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering)
Minimum 15 years if work experience in Utility Network Planning and Network Modeling experience in the Growth Region
Minimum 8-10 years of Experience as a customer facing pre-sales technical solution architect with international or Growth Region exposure
Desired Characteristics
Technical Expertise-
Extensive Experience in Utility/Telecommunication Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Small world GIS for Utilities and/or Telecommunications
Experience with geospatial network modeling including GIS integration network topology analysis and spatial data management
Knowledge of transmission and distribution planning methodologies including long-term capacity planning and asset optimization for emerging markets
Experience with 3D modeling and network based Digital Twins for use in design vegetation management disaster management or other use cases
Experience with utility planning tools and methodologies for grid expansion and modernization projects in developing and emerging markets 1
Systems and Technology
Knowledge of IT hardware and networking equipment for planning system deployments across diverse infrastructure environments
Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure for scalable planning applications with regional data sovereignty considerations
Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Buses such as IBM ESB WebMethods Dell Boomi Mulesoft or other
Understanding of cyber security standards and best practices for planning and operational systems across different regulatory frameworks
Industry Knowledge
Understanding of grid modernization initiatives including smart grid planning and distributed energy resource integration in Growth Region markets
Experience with utility business processes related to planning asset management and regulatory reporting across diverse market structures
Hands-on experience with GEs GridOS Plan solutions preferred
Cultural awareness and language capabilities advantageous for effective communication across Growth Region markets
