Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room (OR)
Location: Plano TX
Facility Type: Acute Care / Comprehensive Stroke Center
Assignment Duration: 6 weeks
Shift Type: 1st Shift 8 hours/day
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Neuro Operating Room RN to provide care in a high-acuity surgical environment. The candidate must be able to support a variety of neuro cases including neuro IR in a comprehensive stroke center setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for neuro surgeries and general surgical cases
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during complex procedures including neuro IR
- Ensure patient safety monitor vital signs and respond to intraoperative events
- Maintain sterile environment and adhere to OR protocols
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Participate in call rotation as required (12 shifts per week 12 weekends per month)
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current TX RN license
- BLS certification
- 12 months of current Neuro OR experience
- 1 year of acute hospital OR experience within the last 3 years
- Willingness and ability to manage any neuro case
Preferred:
- Experience in a comprehensive stroke center or high-acuity neuro setting
