Caregiver/Direct Support ProfessionalWould you like to make a positive difference in the lives of others Join our mission. Based in community settings within a program and working closely with our clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans DSPs provide assistance and strategies to the individuals we serve to live as independently as possible. Provide one-on-one positive and friendly companionship while doing outings in the community - activities include things like going out to eat museums movies run errands going to local parks and other recreational activities the individual is interested inTransportation and support out in the community: outings/field trips medical appointments and shoppingProvide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation social skills household budgeting exercise nutrition and supporting vocational responsibilitiesAssist individuals we serve to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviorsQualifications: High School Diploma or GEDMust be minimum of 18 years of ageSix months of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferredValid CA drivers license in good standing (no exceptions)Access to a reliable vehicle with proof of valid insurance and registrationSuccessful clearance of background checksA reliable responsible attitude and acompassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you doAvailability we are looking for: generally between 2pm and 9pm on weekdays and during the daytime on weekendsWhy Join Us Position is part-time about 20 hours average per week possibility to get more hours may open upOn-Demand pay: you have the option to access your pay as you earn it - it is free to you and you get a debit card; we have bi-weekly paydays with direct deposit or paper checks as wellRewarding work impacting the lives of those you serve working alongside a great team of job security with nationwide career development and advancement have meaningful energizing and rewarding work for you come join our team Apply Today!
