Behaviour Mentor Inclusive Secondary School Southwark (South London)

Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Full-time Permanent
Salary: Paid to scale

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join an inclusive secondary school in Southwark. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional behavioural support providing guidance mentoring and structured interventions. You will help students develop positive behaviour strategies improve engagement and build confidence.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills patience and the ability to build strong relationships with students staff and families. You will work as part of a pastoral team committed to supporting student wellbeing and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and group mentoring support
Support students with behavioural and emotional needs
Work with staff to implement behaviour strategies
Monitor and track student progress
Liaise with parents and external agencies
Promote a positive school environment

Requirements:
Experience working with young people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour
Patience resilience and a positive attitude
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Ability to work as part of a team
