You will become part of a multinational team supporting on satellite operations. The role is typically performed in a spacecraft operations or mission control environment and may require shift work on-call support or participation in critical mission phases outside normal office hours. The Spacecraft Operations Engineer (m/f/d) is responsible for preparing executing and supporting routine and non-routine spacecraft operations throughout all mission phases from launch and commissioning to routine operations anomaly resolution and end-of-life activities. The role supports safe reliable and efficient spacecraft operations for single-satellite or multi-mission environments working in close coordination with flight control teams subsystem engineers ground segment teams flight dynamics mission planning and customer representatives.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare validate and execute spacecraft operations procedures for nominal contingency and recovery scenarios.
Monitor spacecraft health status and performance using telemetry telecommand and operational products.
Support spacecraft routine operations including platform and payload activities as applicable.
Analyze spacecraft telemetry and operational data to identify trends deviations and potential anomalies.
Investigate spacecraft anomalies support troubleshooting and contribute to root-cause analysis and recovery actions.
Develop review and maintain operational documentation including procedures operational concepts manuals reports and logs.
Support mission planning activities and coordinate spacecraft activities with relevant operational interfaces.
Verify readiness of operational products command schedules and supporting ground systems before execution.
Contribute to simulations rehearsals test campaigns launch and early orbit phase preparation and mission transitions.
Interface with ground segment flight dynamics software cybersecurity subsystem and mission engineering teams to ensure operational readiness and continuity.
Support validation of new spacecraft functionalities software updates ground segment changes and operational improvements.
Participate in shift operations on-call support or extended-hours coverage when required by mission needs.
Ensure compliance with operational processes mission constraints quality standards and customer requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role include:
Degree in aerospace engineering space engineering physics electronics telecommunications computer science or a related technical discipline.
Experience in spacecraft operations satellite control mission operations ground segment operations or a related engineering environment.
Understanding of spacecraft subsystems such as AOCS power thermal propulsion TT&C onboard software and payload interfaces.
Familiarity with operational environments control room practices and mission-critical procedures.
Ability to interpret telemetry assess spacecraft behavior and react methodically under operational constraints.
Experience with operational procedures scripting automation or engineering tools used in mission operations.
Strong analytical communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team.
Good command of English both written and spoken.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience supporting different mission phases including launch and early orbit operations and routine operations.
Familiarity with multi-mission operations concepts and customer-driven operational environments.
Experience with mission control systems telemetry and telecommand chains monitoring tools or operations automation frameworks.
Knowledge of ECSS or comparable space engineering and operations standards.
Experience in anomaly investigation trend analysis and operational reporting.
Knowledge of Linux scripting languages databases and version-controlled operational environments.
Experience working with institutional or commercial customers in satellite operations.
