0.3FTE- 12 hrs per week day shift every third weekend

Minimum pay- $19.10 per hour

Monitors and records data from medical equipment to ensure proper functioning and patient safety. Responsible for equipment maintenance.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Maintain appropriate heart rhythm tracing.
  • Recognizes normal heart rhythm artifact and life threatening heart rhythms.
  • Respond to all monitor alarms report heart rhythm changes to RN or MD promptly.
  • Clean maintain and inventory all equipment associated with cardiac monitors and other equipment as assigned.
  • Precepts new employees ability to educate other employees on correct usage of both telemetry and bedside monitors

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

Current CPR certification (BLS-Health Care Provider) required.


Skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify abnormal rhythms and or changes in rhythms preferred

Experience:

Previous health care experience as a Nursing Assistant Unit Coordinator Medical Assistant nursing student EMT Medic or experience with cardiology patients required.


Physical Requirements:
