Overview:

0.3FTE- 12 hrs per week day shift every third weekend

Minimum pay- $19.10 per hour

Monitors and records data from medical equipment to ensure proper functioning and patient safety. Responsible for equipment maintenance.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Maintain appropriate heart rhythm tracing.
Recognizes normal heart rhythm artifact and life threatening heart rhythms.
Respond to all monitor alarms report heart rhythm changes to RN or MD promptly.
Clean maintain and inventory all equipment associated with cardiac monitors and other equipment as assigned.
Precepts new employees ability to educate other employees on correct usage of both telemetry and bedside monitors

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

Current CPR certification (BLS-Health Care Provider) required.

Skills:

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to identify abnormal rhythms and or changes in rhythms preferred

Experience:

Previous health care experience as a Nursing Assistant Unit Coordinator Medical Assistant nursing student EMT Medic or experience with cardiology patients required.

Physical Requirements:
