SUMMARY: Applies to all test requirements for Passenger Boarding Bridges JetPower and related components. To insure complete system integrity continuity interface and functionality are established and qualifiable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Electrical systems knowledge combined with extensive understanding of electrical codes and safe practices.
• Strong understanding of relay logic PLC and computer based operating systems incorporated in the PLB operating system.
• To troubleshoot and correct errors resultant from miswiring component failure drawing errors material errors and general workmanship inadequacies.
• To review and verify that the electrical systems are correct to the schematic.
• Understand wiring schematics and be able to trace through the wiring loom.
• Correct (redline) drawings and material lists to reflect final configuration; and return the completed documents to Department Manager Quality Department and/or Engineering.
• Provide technical assistance to the Engineering group developing solutions for complex control configurations.
• Perform electrical interconnection of the PLB and components.
• Diagnose systems failures correct and document.
• Perform PLC Ladder Logic troubleshooting.
• Utilize electrical diagnoses equipment Laptop Computers Multimeters Communications Hi-Pot Testers and Voltage Testers.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Will be required to coordinate activities of individuals from various disciplines and departments.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must have the skills to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Ability to read schematics and other related drawings quality standards and requirements and understand the PLCs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma plus 5-8 years assembling troubleshooting and repairing electrical and/or electronic systems and controls. Two year Associate Degree in electronics with 2-3 years experience assembling troubleshooting and repairing electrical and/or electronic systems or controls.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Strong understanding of written text describing scopes of work specification and work instruction related to final bridge configurations. Good communication skills in both written and verbal formats.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems collects data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical information allowing accurate diagnosis of system integrity allowing effective solutions and remedies.

COMPUTER SKILLS: This position requires the following computer skills: Word Excel and Syteline.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit stand kneel and bend. The employee is regularly required to use his hand and fingers to perform intricate wiring and electrical installations. The employee will occasional be required to crouch and crawl while performing the required duties. The employee will occasionally be required to perform heavy lifting or moving of materials this will not top exceed 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color differentiation and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
