Job Description
As a Security Officer Security Screener in Hagerstown MD you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location helping support security-related screening activities monitor access points and observe assigned this role you will remain visible to help reduce incidents while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors drivers and team members by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals vehicles packages and/or personal belongings entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-specific screening protocols.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points verify credentials and help to deter unauthorized access theft and/or policy violations within the facility.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter remaining alert to unusual activity operational disruptions and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
