Job Summary

Job Title: Sr. ETL QA Engineer - Remote

Duration (Contract): 9 Months

Client Location: Southlake TX

Location Preference: Remote

Job Description:
As a Senior ETL QA Engineer you will ensure the quality accuracy and reliability of data pipelines and ETL applications within a data centric environment. You will focus on validating complex data transformations testing ETL workflows and collaborating with cross functional teams to uphold data integrity standards while supporting financial data processing and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Validate and test ETL applications developed using modern ETL platforms.
Execute data quality validation across staging warehouse and downstream layers.
Analyze and debug complex SQL queries views stored procedures and table valued functions.
Perform comprehensive testing of data transformations mappings and data flows.
Utilize data validation and verification tools to ensure ETL process accuracy.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to identify and resolve data anomalies.
Maintain detailed test documentation and defect reports.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and data testing cycles.
Track defects and test cases using industry standard tools.
Ensure adherence to data governance quality standards and testing best practices.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

Minimum 5 years of hands on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Data Management Cloud.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with Informatica Data Validation Option.
Minimum 3 years of experience debugging stored procedures and table valued functions.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of strong SQL experience including complex queries views and procedures.
Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and ETL concepts.
Experience testing data centric applications in financial or regulated environments.
Proficiency using issue and test tracking tools such as Jira Confluence or Zephyr.
Strong attention to detail time management skills and analytical mindset focused on data quality.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with distributed teams.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology Information Systems or a related field.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $60.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
