Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator - Hybrid

Job Description:
As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator you will provide infrastructure level DBA support for large complex Oracle database environments supporting multiple enterprise applications. You will ensure database stability performance availability and data integrity while participating in a 24x7 operational support model. This role focuses on maintaining high availability and disaster recovery solutions managing upgrades and patching enforcing standards and supporting mission critical systems during a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide infrastructure DBA support for Oracle databases across development test and production environments.
- Participate in 24x7 support activities for complex applications with approved after hours support as needed.
- Evaluate impacts of changes and new technologies and recommend solutions to recurring issues.
- Enforce database standards policies and procedures and develop guidelines within established frameworks.
- Monitor database space allocation and perform capacity adjustments as required.
- Calculate disk space requirements for existing systems and new initiatives.
- Modify database parameters to support capacity and performance changes.
- Configure execute and monitor database integrity checks.
- Install and maintain database management software patches and service packs in non production environments.
- Support high availability disaster recovery replication and backup environments.
- Monitor clustered database environments and troubleshoot related issues.
- Execute scripts to create or modify database objects including tables views indexes and constraints.
- Monitor scheduled jobs and processes and participate in issue resolution.
- Monitor database environments using logs alerts traces and diagnostic tools to identify outages or performance issues.
- Implement strategies to reclaim unused space and address fragmentation.
- Maintain accurate and up to date system documentation.
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- Minimum 15 years of experience administering Oracle databases version 18c and above.
- Experience supporting large complex and high availability Oracle database environments.
- Experience with disaster recovery architectures and replication technologies.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production database outages and performance issues.
- Experience supporting clustered Oracle database environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience creating updating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of database standards capacity planning and performance management.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a hybrid environment and collaborate with technical teams.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $75.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
