Floating Requirement: This position requires floating to clinically appropriate units as needed within the clinician s scope of practice licensure and demonstrated competencies. Unit Name: St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Emergency Department Shift: 1900-0730 Full-time (36 hours/week) Job Description: Role Specific Responsibilities Assess patients to determine mental physical and spiritual needs Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional psychological and spiritual support to patient and families Assesses plans implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team. Provide in health teaching and counseling to promote attain and maintain the optimum health level of patients Demonstrate ability to use clinical judgement in conjunction with critical thinking to recognize act upon and report changes in patient condition. Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient medical record Provide input into the development of policies and procedures to support patient safety and quality of care Supervision and delegation responsibilities of licensed practical nurse and/or unlicensed assistant personnel Serve as an advocate for the patient by communicating and collaborating with other health service professionals Timely completion of required education competencies and licensure. Requirements: BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS Weekend/ Call Requirements: Weekend requirement is every 3rd weekend no call requirements 4th of July holiday requirement
