Job Summary

Job Title: Pharmacist

Specialty: Outpatient / Ambulatory Pharmacy (IHS Facility)

Site: Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility

Location: 1300 Hospital Road Belcourt ND 58316

Duration: 3 months extensions (up to 12 months total)

Shift Schedule: Monday Friday between 8:00 AM 7:00 PM 8-hour or 10-hour shifts (as scheduled) Max 40 hours/week No overtime authorized

How many shifts per month: 20 shifts/month (based on 40 hrs/week)

License:

Any active unrestricted Pharmacist license (any U.S. state)

Certifications:

BLS required

Experience Needed:

2 years preferred

Special Skills Needed:

Experience with:
- IHS EHR / RPMS
- ScriptPro / Pyxis systems
Strong outpatient pharmacy workflow experience
Medication therapy review & patient counseling
High-volume dispensing (Rx/day environment)

Responsibilities:

Review verify and dispense prescriptions safely
Monitor drug interactions dosing allergies and contraindications
Counsel patients on medication use
Collaborate with providers on medication therapy
Maintain controlled substance records and compliance
Support pharmacy operations including inventory and workflow
Ensure compliance with HIPAA IHS and Joint Commission standards

Misc:

Busy outpatient setting with high prescription volume
Work involves patient interaction through pharmacy window
Orientation required prior to start
Strong cultural sensitivity required (Native American population)
