This heavy engineering company is embarking on a large-scale growth & transformation journey with considerable investment from its parent company. As the company continues to grow and evolve it is looking to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Senior General Manager to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the sites longterm operational strategy in alignment with group goals
- Oversee all daytoday operations across production engineering maintenance logistics and support functions.
- Drive lean manufacturing continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce cost
- Champion worldclass Health Safety & Environmental standards ensuring full compliance with UK legislation
- Own and manage the site P&L delivering revenue margin cost and productivity targets
- Develop budgets forecasts and capital expenditure plans to support operational and strategic priorities
- Lead coach and develop a multidisciplinary management team fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
- Oversee supply chain procurement and inventory management to ensure smooth material flow and customer fulfilment
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships supporting commercial discussions pricing and contract performance
- Ensure quality standards compliance and certification requirements are consistently met driving rootcause analysis and corrective actions
Job Requirements
- Proven senior leadership experience within manufacturing chemical heavy industry or a complex industrial environment
- Strong technical understanding of processes such as casting rolling forging machining or heat treatment
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and multiple functional areas across an entire site
- Customerfacing leadership experience including involvement in commercial meetings and business development
- Strong financial acumen with experience owning sitelevel P&L performance.
- Deep knowledge of UK HSE regulations and a track record of leading bestpractice safety culture
- Handson experience implementing lean CI or operational excellence programmes
- Excellent communication influencing and stakeholder management skills at all levels
- Ability to lead through significant change restructuring or cultural transformation
- Resilient decisive and able to thrive in a fastpaced manufacturing environment with a strong commitment to operational excellence
