Job Summary
Description
Responsibilities:
- Enforce health & safety rules conduct safety meetings perform workplace observations incident investigations and corrective action plans.
- Ensure that all occupational health and safety requirements are met and record relevant information in the EHS system.
- Plan organize and supervise receiving storage picking packing shipping and inventory activities.
- Assist with a broad range of warehouse tasks. Allocate labour by area/activity based on volumes.
- Ensure compliance with service deadlines inventory accuracy productivity.
- Check the conformity of goods (quantity quality damage).
- Optimize flows (layout locations order grouping).
- Onboard and train new employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
- Perform inventory receipts in ERP system.
- Perform monthly cycle counts as well as annual physical inventory.
- Coordinate transportation of shipments and dock schedule.
- Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with Transportation Customer Service and Purchasing to quickly resolve exceptions (delays emergencies shortages).
- Ensure exemplary housekeeping practices.
- Perform all other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage X3 P21)
- All required certifications (WHMIS TDG; Forklift license First Aid)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong reporting skills while meeting deadlines.
