The Job: What Youll Do
This isnt a desk job. Youll be on the move helping our drivers navigate safely and ensuring every route is completed to the highest standard.
Hit the Ground Running: Collect solid waste and recyclables from curbsides and customer sites.
The Heavy Lifting: Load materials into the truck and operate the compacting equipment to get the job done efficiently.
Be the Eyes and Ears: Assist your driver with backing up and tight maneuvering. Youre the co-pilot ensuring everyone stays safe.
Quality Control: Spot prohibited items tag them and keep our loads clean and compliant.
Maintenance & Care: Keep your gear (brooms shovels) ready to go and help keep the truck looking sharp inside and out.

What You Bring to the Table
We value a strong work ethic over a long resume. If youre reliable and ready to learn well provide the rest.
The Basics: High School Diploma/GED or previous experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Strength: You can regularly lift up to 65 lbs and help push up to 100 lbs when needed.
Toughness: Youre comfortable working in the heat the cold the rain and the snow.
Team Spirit: You communicate well follow directions and show up in a professional manner ready to represent the GFL brand.
Safety Mindset: You take safety seriously and follow the rules every time.
Work Conditions
Youll be out in the elements 100% of the time. It can be loud it can be messy and the weather isnt always perfectbut for the right person theres no better place to be than out on the road with a solid crew.
