Prince of Peace Catholic School in Clinton IA is seeking a detail-oriented collaborative problem solver who finds fulfillment in supporting others to achieve the larger mission of student learning and success at Prince of Peace Catholic School. This position plays an integral role at our school by raising money for both our school and foundation.
Prince of Peace Catholic School serves students early childhood through 12th-grade in southeast Iowa serving over 246 students. Prince of Peace is a state-accredited private school dedicated to providing students with a premier education that will prepare them for a lifetime of success as a faith-filled and active Catholic.
Reporting Relationship: Building Principal
Key Duties:
- Effectively manage advancement operations
- Build constituent relationships
- Communicate the mission and vision of the school and to various publics
- Coordinate volunteer activities
- Develop strategies to meet long-range and short-term financial goals and objectives
- Identify and cultivate major gift resources
- Develop stewardship practices that demonstrate appreciation and recognition for constituents donors and contributors
- Develop marketing initiatives and processes to build school enrollment
- Coordinate special events that build community raise money and celebrate the schools mission
- Prepare and execute an annual fund and student tuition organization giving opportunities
- Secure targeted gifts to support the objectives of the school
- Secure charitable gifts to optimize donors financial tax and estate planning
- Work with the school administrator in identifying annual and long-term needs of the school
- Coordinate admissions and enrollment for potential new students
- Coordinate advancement activities with the Prince of Peace School Foundation
- Requirements:
- B.A. in marketing financial planning related fields or at least 5 years of experience
- Preferred experience in fundraising activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to collaborative teamwork
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong detail orientation and demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to solicit financial gifts on behalf of the school
- Working knowledge of estate gifts and planned giving
- Knowledge of communication and marketing through social media
- Strong appreciation for Catholic education
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with confidential information
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Apps products and ability to learn other programs with training including Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions.
