Job Summary

**Job Summary:**
Bay-CSS is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our residential program in Gambrills MD. The position entails working Monday to Friday from 4pm to 9pm. As a DSP you will provide essential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities promoting independence and ensuring their well-being.

**Qualifications:**
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Compassionate patient and reliable individual
- Must have a valid drivers license reliable transportation and car insurance
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Successful completion of a background check

**Responsibilities:**
- Assist individuals with daily living activities meal preparation personal hygiene and medication administration during the evening shift
- Support individuals in developing independent living skills and achieving personal goals
- Establish positive and supportive relationships ensuring physical and emotional well-being
- Follow individual support plans and behavior support strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports
- Collaborate with colleagues supervisors and external professionals to deliver comprehensive care

**Work Environment:**
This part-time role requires working Monday to Friday from 4pm to 9pm in a residential setting in Gambrills MD. The position demands compassion flexibility and dedication to empowering individuals with disabilities. A valid drivers license reliable transportation and car insurance are essential. The hourly pay rate for this role is $21.
