As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Responder in Arlington VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors employees and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures access control practices and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional and problem-solving manner including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity security-related concerns and/or hazards.
- Monitor entrances restricted areas and sensitive locations verify credentials when required and report suspicious activity policy violations and/or maintenance issues through appropriate channels.
- Prepare clear reports and document observations incidents and actions taken while communicating with supervisors local authorities and/or site contacts as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
