What will you do
We have an exciting opportunity for aStructural Engineer Industrial (Mining & Resources)to join ourPerth WAoffice.
In this role you will contribute to the delivery ofindustrial structuresacross the resources sectorsupporting projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.Youllwork closely with civil mechanical process piping electrical and project delivery teams producing practicalsafeand buildable structural solutions for challenging operational environments (including brownfield sites where applicable).
What you will be doing
Deliver structural analysis and design forindustrial steel and concrete structures(e.g. platforms pipe racks equipment support frames transfer stationsgantriesbuildingsand ancillary structures).
Designfoundationsand support arrangementscoordinating withgeotechnical inputs and construction constraints.
Produce high-quality engineering deliverables:calculations design reportsspecificationsand design sketches supporting drafting/modelling teams.
Use structural software such asSpaceGassandStrand7(or equivalent) to develop and check models and outputs.
Coordinate interfaces with multidisciplinary teams (civil mechanical piping electrical) to ensure coordinated buildable outcomes.
Supportconstructability and Safety in Designparticipatingin reviews risk workshops and value engineering where.
Provideconstruction supportincluding RFIs technical clarifications site input and as-built/close-out requirements as needed.
Here are the key things you will need to bring ideas to life:
Demonstrated experience instructural design for industrial facilities ideally withinmining and resources(materials handling process plants conveyors/transfer stations pipe racks platforms tanks equipment support structuresfoundationsand brownfield upgrades).
Working knowledge and application of relevantAustralian Standards includingAS/NZS 1170AS 4100AS 3600and related industry guidelines.
Proficiencywith structural analysis/design tools such asSpaceGassandStrand7(or equivalent); familiarity withAutoCAD Revit and/or Teklaisadvantageous.
Strong communicationskills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivery.
Degree qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering (working toward Chartership is highly regarded).
