About the Opportunity

As our Lead Veterinarian you will be responsible for the overall delivery quality and sustainability of all veterinary and doghealth services within Seeing Eye this role you will also:

  • Oversee and monitor the health and welfare of all Seeing Eye Dogs across breeding puppy development training and working life
  • Provide veterinary services including clinical examinations diagnostics radiography dispensing and management of medications procedures and surgeries
  • Participate in oncall arrangements pro-rata to provide veterinary advice and support including for whelps and urgent dog health matters

About You

As part of the Seeing Eye Dogs team you should have a degree in Veterinary Science (or equivalent) recognised in addition a minimum 5 years full time equivalent experience as a practicing small animal veterinarianis required. You will also have:

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical competence in smallanimal veterinary practice including diagnostics surgery (including but not limited to desexing c-section wound repair gastrointestinal surgery) anaesthesia and medical case management
  • Ability to perform in a sole-charge capacity including ability to competently perform complex surgeries such as caesarean section and mature bitch ovariohysterectomy autonomously
  • Strong understanding of canine health across the full lifecycle including preventative care chronic disease management and rehabilitation
