Job Summary
SUMMARY
The Preventive Maintenance (PM) HVAC Foreman is responsible for planning organizing supervising and performing skilled mechanical maintenance work in the inspection operation and maintenance of all HVAC and related mechanical systems. This role ensures all systems operate safely and at optimal efficiency by developing implementing and monitoring comprehensive preventive maintenance programs and providing technical leadership to a team of Preventive Maintenance technicians.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in commercial or industrial HVAC maintenance and repair
Four (4) years supervisory experience or proven leadership in a related field.
Knowledge of digital electric and pneumatic controls; heating cooling and air-conditioning systems; engineering and construction techniques; co-generation; thermal storage and computer-controlled energy management systems.
Strong knowledge of safety standards and protocols.
Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) software for work orders and scheduling.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in the field.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75lb. lift test.
Must hold a current Arizona Drivers license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
