Schedule: MondayFriday 7:30 AM 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $30/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support students with low-incidence disabilities in a classroom setting. This role involves working closely with the classroom teacher and IEP team to ensure students have consistent access to instruction and a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide students with consistent access to instruction using their preferred communication methods (auditory visual or tactile)
- Support concept development and promote active learning engagement
- Assist in developing receptive and expressive communication skills
- Foster a positive inclusive environment that supports students social and emotional well-being
- Encourage peer interaction and participation in classroom and school activities
- Provide physical assistance including lifting feeding toileting and personal hygiene support
- Collaborate with teachers and IEP team members to monitor student progress and implement necessary modifications
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification
- Experience working with children with low-incidence disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient compassionate and student-focused approach to care
- Ability to assist with personal care and mobility needs
