Position Overview:
Lockhart Matter Dermatology is seeking a highly capable Desk Nurse (Medical Assistant) to serve as a key point of contact for our patients and providers. This role is critical to maintaining smooth clinic operations and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
We are looking for a strong confident and tech-savvy candidate who can manage high call volume handle complex patient interactions and support clinical needs when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and triage all incoming patient calls including high-volume and complex/difficult situations
Provide accurate information guidance and follow-up to patients
Communicate effectively with providers regarding patient concerns
Perform suture removals of all types
Assist with clinical tasks and fill in on the floor as needed
- Coordinate scheduling needs and patient flow support
- Assist with surgery scheduling
Document patient interactions accurately in EMR
Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment
What Were Looking For:
Dermatology experience required
Medical Assistant certification/experience required
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-volume setting
Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
Comfortable handling difficult patient conversations with professionalism
Technologically proficient (ModMed/EMA EMR Klarasystems phone systems multitasking across platforms)
Team-oriented with a positive solution-focused mindset
Reliable and adaptable in a dynamic clinic setting
Work Environment:
In-office position (not remote)
