Manager P&C Underwriting Farm Family Insurance
At Farm Family Insurance we invite you to elevate your career as our new Manager P&C Underwriting to join our underwriting organization. Based in one of our offices youll step into a pivotal leadership role driving the daily operations of our underwriting unit with precision and agility.

Youll ensure new business and renewal submissions are handled quickly and accurately always meeting regulatory standards and service level goals. Be at the forefront of impactful projects and strategic initiatives shaping the direction of underwriting and making a real difference in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
How You Will Create an Impact
- Expertly oversee underwriting operations ensuring timely accurate processing of new business and renewal submissions while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
- Coach and support underwriters provide co-signs for guideline adherence facilitate ongoing training and development adjust workloads for optimal flow and set clear performance goals for team members.
- Establish and refine processes to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Serve as key liaison for claims reviews DOI complaints reinsurer communications and vendor management related to underwriting.
- Lead underwriting audits enforce best practices and actively participate in strategic projects and committee meetings.
What Youll Need to Succeed
- Bring over five years of P&C Commercial underwriting experience preferably with exposure to leading teams.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in underwriting systems and data feeds.
- Exhibit strong business acumen analytical decision-making and resilience thriving in fast-paced environments and adapting to evolving challenges.
- Lead with emotional intelligence fostering collaboration providing meaningful coaching and building strong relationships across teams and partners.
- Communicate confidently with executive leadership and peers leveraging polished presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite and key business software.
- A college degree and/or insurance industry designation(s) will help move you to the top of the list.

The base salary range is $90000 - $120000 (based on experience and location). Additionally this position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Were proud to offer a range of competitive and comprehensive benefits packages.
