Job Summary

We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Thurrock to assist with the appointment of a Team Manager on a 3-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 213.01 - 286.63 per day

Summary:

The Team Manager provides high-level leadership and operational oversight to a social work team ensuring the delivery of safe high-quality services to children and families. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement managing team performance against national and corporate objectives and ensuring all practice remains child-centered and compliant with current legislation

Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote the service to users colleagues and external partners.
  • Chair meetings lead working parties and represent the Department in inter-agency discussions
  • Ensure all cases are appropriately allocated with up-to-date case plans in place.
  • Model high standards of practice and ensure all work is recorded accurately and timely within the Integrated Childrens System
  • Identify continuing professional development (CPD) needs for team members and maintain your own professional registration requirements.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of managing budgets and Human Resources accepting accountability for the effective usage of all resources.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker.
  • Must maintain current professional registration (e.g. Social Work England).

Essentials:

  • Proven track record of managing team performance and maintaining practice standards in a social care setting
  • Experience modeling high-standard value-based practice that is child-centered.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation research and guidance relevant to children and family services

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
