Role Overview
We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Accountant with strong working knowledge of accounting practices across multinational regions of Pakistan the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multi-jurisdictional financial operations ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for Pakistan UK and UAE entities
- Maintain accurate financial records including general ledger accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (FBR Pakistan HMRC UK and UAE VAT laws)
- Handle VAT filings (UK & UAE) and corporate tax matters where applicable
- Support payroll processing and statutory deductions across jurisdictions
- Assist in budgeting forecasting and financial planning
- Coordinate with external auditors tax consultants and regulatory authorities
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow across entities
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (ACCA preferred)
- 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience preferably in a multi-country environment
- Strong knowledge of:
- Pakistan tax laws and compliance (FBR)
- UK accounting standards and tax regulations (HMRC)
- UAE VAT and financial compliance requirements - Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero QuickBooks or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with international companies or startups
- Familiarity with IFRS and multi-currency accounting
- Prior experience handling intercompany transactions
- Exposure to payroll management across multiple regions
