Job Summary
Our client is a well-respected American household appliances brand with a rapidly growing presence in more than 15 countries globally.
They are seeking a meticulous and innovative Operations Excellence Manager with a blended background in continuous improvement and new product introduction (NPI). In this role you will work closely with product development and factory leadership teams to ensure factory readiness for new product launches drive operational excellence and continuously improve production efficiency quality and cost performance.
Please note that RELOCATION to Vietnam is REQUIRED.
Fluency in Mandarin and strong working proficiency in English is also required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations using Lean Six Sigma Kaizen or similar methodologies.
- Own and implement factory readiness criteria (PSO) to support smooth and efficient product launches.
- Drive continuous excellence (CE) projects to improve manufacturability production efficiency and quality control while reducing cost of goods sold.
- Analyze manufacturing processes including metal stamping welding coating and assembly to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend design improvements that enhance manufacturability and scalability.
- Align with factory leadership on equipment planning staffing levels and resource allocation to support production goals.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance efficiency and process capability.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and quality deviations.
- Train and coach factory leadership teams on operational best practices quality standards and process improvements.
- Drive effective communication and change management across all levels of the factory to support NPI and improvement initiatives.
- Spend significant time on the factory floor to assess process maturity monitor execution and identify areas for improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 10 - 15 years of experience in manufacturing operational excellence and/or industrial engineering roles. Consumer appliances industry preferred.
- Proven experience leading NPI (new product introduction) and factory readiness initiatives in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as metal stamping welding coating and mechanical assembly.
- Demonstrated experience applying Lean Six Sigma Kaizen or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Fluency in Mandarin and strong working proficiency in English.
- Bachelors degree in engineering manufacturing operations or a related field.
