Were currently looking for a motivated and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Adult Mixed Specialty Unit (Ward 1B) to drive clinical excellence at St Vincents Private Hospital Northside. This is a rare opportunity to showcase your leadership abilities in an acute private hospital setting overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy Medical/Surgical ward to empower and mentor nursing staff and to champion clinical excellence safety and our patient experience where compassion excellence justice and integrity is at the heart of everything we do.

Things that work for us:

  • Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Registered Nurse

  • Recent experience as a Nurse Unit Manager in ideally a private acute hospital setting

  • Experience in mentoring and leading large teams

  • Demonstrated achievement of organisational targets in resource management budgeting and workforce planning

  • Experience providing advanced clinical care consistent with our mission and philosophy of our hospital

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

At St Vincents Private Hospital Northside we have over 1000 dedicated and skilled staff who treat nearly 35000 people a year delivering safe and high-quality care to all our patients. Our hospital has 227 beds 9 operating theatres 2 cardiac catheter laboratories a 17-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Day Oncology Unit Breast Health Centre Endoscopy Unit Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and a 24-hour private emergency centre provided by Brisbane Northside Emergency.
