Key Role and Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Delivery:
- Turnkey Projects or Product/Equipment-Only Projects. Responsible for overseeing the project and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for small-medium sized projects (size in relation to GEV electrification Grid Solutions business) that may include equipment-only suites of products maintenance contracts or turnkey projects.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own -depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- Lead cross-functional project teams across engineering procurement logistics installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure project delivery on time within budget and meeting quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers suppliers and stakeholders maintaining high levels of satisfaction
- Oversee factory site and construction activities ensuring compliance with design schedule Quality and EHS standards.
- Monitor project progress proactively manage risks issues and change orders and implement corrective actions.
- Manage project budgets contract administration and variations liaising with legal and commercial teams as needed.
- Ensure adherence to GE Vernova processes safety integrity and core values throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support tendering sales and lessons-learned processes contributing to continuous improvement and future project execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent with 13 years of relevant Project Management experience.
- Willingness to travel for site visits during project execution and other business purposes
- Ability to deliver results under pressure meet tight timelines coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and manage project scope resources budgets and risks while ensuring high-quality standards.
- Excellent English (oral and written) with strong communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Grid Products (GIS AIS Power Transformers Protection Relays Automation & Control).
- Strong oral and written communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Preferably based in Stafford UK or surrounding areas.
