As an Associate Buyer at Stryker you will play a critical role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time supporting a resilient supply chain that powers lifechanging medical solutions. What you will do
- Execute daily procurement activities for an assigned portfolio to ensure continuous material availability and optimal customer service.
- Place and confirm purchase orders in line with approved rules lead times and lot sizes and secure supplier order confirmations.
- Communicate forecast and demand requirements to suppliers based on production schedules and supply plans.
- Monitor and review backorders and safety stock health adjusting deliveries to mitigate supply risks.
- Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing master data in transactional systems to support planning and execution accuracy.
- Act as the primary contact for suppliers providing clear updates on supply requirements and resolving delivery issues.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with supply planning production customer service sourcing inspection and accounts payable to support business operations and process improvements.
- Prepare and present procurement reports and represent the purchasing function in meetings proposing improvement ideas when gaps are identified.
What you will need
Required
- Bachelors degree (minimum) in Business Engineering Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in supply chain procurement or a related operational role.
Preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience using an enterprise resource planning system.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting supplier relationship activities
