Your opportunity

As an experienced Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for completing various tasks including assisting with the preparation of design-to-cost reports throughout all stages of design measuring and pricing work managing variations and change requests and providing contract administration support with subcontract packages. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your previous success gained from a solid career in commercial construction leveraging resources and relationships to deliver results.

Minimum requirements for this role include:

  • A tertiary (Bachelors) degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering or a Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant commercial construction experience.
  • Demonstrated commercial/quantity surveyor experience with complex contracts in a commercial construction environment including tender methodology and dispute management.
  • Experience in site contract administration including payment schedules insurance variation negotiations and dispute management.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong relationship building influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Valuing completed works and arranging payments.
  • Ability to engage with subcontractors and communicate effectively with people at all levels to ensure productivity compliance and drive project results.

As the successful candidate you will need to be highly motivated well-organized and committed to the highest possible work standards. You will be proactive able to work autonomously and as part of a team and demonstrate excellent conflict resolution skills to negotiate positive outcomes. Additionally you will possess a strong commercial acumen and the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders clients and subcontractors.
