Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice that proactively manages and delivers to the national portfolio of facilities including 15 prisons 98 courts and 141 community correctional sites.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performance team who are focused on delivering outstanding project outcomes.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
To manage the contractual and financial administration of a project including quality and health and safety related disciplines.
Ensuring a consistent and sound commercial approach is applied to all site operations of the projects
Managing client and other stakeholder interfaces facilitating the resolution of contractual issues.
This is a fantastic role that will suit someone who is outcome-focused enjoys a challenge and is able to take initiative whilst building great relationships with our team and client.

A top performer with strong attention to detail able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines in a fully integrated team environment and comfortable working within a strong governance-focused environment
Intermediate QS: NZCQS or NZCE National Diploma or equivalent is essential
Fully conversant with all aspects of contractual management including interim and final progress payments measurement record keeping and contract variations
The flexibility to be mobile as working on projects outside your home base will be required
Extensive experience working in a similar role on projects up to $10m
