Job Description
As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Milpitas CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Officer supporting a fast-paced logistics and distribution this role you will monitor activity coordinate communications document incidents and help guide timely responses to security-related concerns. You will remain a visible and dependable point of contact while delivering strong customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients visitors and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor phones radios alarms and camera systems from the dispatch post receive reports of routine and urgent issues and coordinate the appropriate security-related response.
- Document incidents calls for service visitor activity delivery-related concerns and shift updates in dispatch logs and related reporting systems with clear and timely communication.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner relaying information to site contacts first responders and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter when assigned while helping to deter unauthorized activity and reporting unusual conditions observed in warehouse shipping receiving and yard areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
