Job Summary
Director of Emergency Services
Location: San Antonio TX (78233)
Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift No Weekends
Sign-On Bonus: $20000
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead and oversee all aspects of a high-volume Emergency Department. This leadership role is responsible for driving high-quality patient-centered care while ensuring operational excellence staff engagement and strategic growth within the department.
The Director will play a critical role in fostering a collaborative culture improving patient outcomes and advancing organizational goals through strong leadership accountability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Clinical Excellence
- Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory accreditation and clinical standards
- Optimize patient throughput flow and care coordination
- Develop and maintain nursing standards policies and procedures
- Oversee equipment readiness and operational efficiency
Patient Experience
- Lead initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and experience
- Utilize data and feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with leadership to implement patient-centered strategies
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and sustain a high-performing engaged team culture
- Provide coaching mentorship and professional development
- Drive recruitment retention and succession planning
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and competency alignment
Growth & Strategic Initiatives
- Partner with physicians and leadership to expand services
- Identify opportunities for innovation and program development
- Support initiatives to increase patient volume and service lines
Financial Management
- Manage departmental budget forecasting and cost control
- Monitor labor productivity and staffing efficiency
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality care
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required
- Masters Degree Preferred
- Current RN License (as applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Director-level Emergency Department experience
(Strong Managers with proven leadership achievements may be considered) - Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Demonstrated success in leadership quality metrics and operational performance
