Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Urology
Location: Oswego NY
Job Type: Contract 8 Weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Job Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join a busy urology clinic in Oswego NY. This is a short-term contract opportunity ideal for candidates with strong clinical and administrative experience who thrive in a fast-paced medical environment. The LPN/LVN will provide patient-focused care assist providers with procedures and support clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with urology-related procedures including catheterization (preferred).
- Room patients obtain vital signs and prepare them for examinations and treatments.
- Support office and clinical procedures as needed.
- Process patient referrals and coordinate appointments.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems.
- Perform clerical duties including data entry and patient coordination.
- Collaborate effectively with providers coordinators and other clinical staff.
- Uphold high standards of patient care confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Active New York State LPN license required.
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
- Experience in urology or catheterization is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology EMR systems and clinical workflows.
- Familiarity with insurance processes and referrals preferred.
- Strong computer skills including data entry and typing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required (in addition to LPN qualification).
