Job Summary
This is a Program Manager position with the Academy of Health Sciences Educators and Clinical Placements. Administers Academy of Health Sciences Educators ( AHSE ) programming by assisting the Director with the development and implementation of program curriculum and evaluation. Collaborates with departments and faculty to plan develop and establish new educational programs and seminars to meet identified needs of health sciences faculty. Under the direction of senior leadership lead health sciences clinical placements projects and coordinate clinical training & affiliation agreements with departments the Office of General Counsel and the Health Sciences Deans Council. The program manager will participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees that have an impact on the overall operation strategic direction and success of the office. Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with AHSE Director to establish strategic goals and objectives of the Academy. 2. Collaborate with Education Office Director and Chair of the Health Sciences Education Dean Council on development of baseline and coordinated framework for student placements across health sciences. 3. Manages and tracks clinical training agreements for health sciences programs. 4. Collaborates with the Office of General Counsel on master affiliation agreements and non-standard clinical training agreements. 5. Serves as the office contact for clinical training agreements and is the point person for student placement initiatives. 6. Develops and implements program ideas into successful education programs for health sciences faculty. 7. Serve as the office liaison with the all other University of Utah faculty educational programs and activities. 8. Support the development and execution of educational services. 9. Serve on various committees within the health sciences to represent the Academy and its educational programs. 10. Develops and administers program budgets. Assist AHSE Director to develop propose and negotiate program support. 11. May direct and supervise staff by training establishing goals and evaluating performance. 12. Assesses the past performance of AHSE programs through program evaluations. 13. Manage and coordinate health sciences clinical placement initiative includes data gathering analysis process development and implementation clinical affiliation agreements. 14. Prioritize and execute multiple high-profile activities across health sciences academic units. 15. Participates with other administrative staff as a member of the administrative team. Assists with staffing division events helps others when available attends staff meeting weekly and meets with the Associate Deans and Directors weekly to review and troubleshoot projects. 16. Understands and works within University purchasing/accounting/IT frameworks. 17. Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and management of the education programs and special projects. 18. Ensure proper internal and external documentation is maintained organized and accessible. 19. Participates with other staff as a member of the administrative team. Assists with staffing office events helps others when available attends staff meeting weekly and meets with the Associate Deans and Directors weekly to review and troubleshoot projects. 20. Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelors degree 4 years of directly related work experience).
