General Position Description: The Quality First Coordinator offers orientation and administrative support services to early care and education programs participating in Quality First for the purpose of improving participation experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Orients and enrolls newly selected participants into Quality First utilizing the Orientation and Enrollment Checklist adhering to the timelines within. Supports participants in completing all required enrollment documentation as described in the Orientation and Enrollment Checklist.
  • Creates electronic permanent file or participants saving all documents in the permanent file. Conducts regular permanent file and extranet reviews and shares any findings with program manager.
  • Reviews assessment results and helps determine participant-led quality improvement goals as appropriate.
  • Coordinates the participants transition to coaching services as indicated by programs star rating and participation level.
  • Assists participants in accessing navigating and updating program/staff information on the Quality First Extranet and the AZ Early Childhood Workforce Registry on a monthly basis.
  • Supports participants in accessing heir allocated incentive funds and completing the appropriate order forms.
  • Connects participants to relevant community resources organizations and professional development opportunities.
  • Collects annual Quality First documentation and information from participants including License Capacity Verification and Incentive Management Agreement. Maintains documentation on coordination activities and participant progress including any onsite visit logs activity log entries and Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Co-leads the collaboration efforts among other support services (Childcare Health Consultant Mental Health Consultant Inclusion Coach etc.) and takes an active role in the integration of support services. Provides interim coaching services as needed to support continuity of care.
  • As a mandated reporter follows agency and statutory reporting policy and procedures which includes a timely response to incidents notification of supervisor and use of the Critical Incident form.
  • Adheres to EBF Core Values the programs Implementation Manual and Service Delivery Plan and the funders Standards of Practice.
  • Participates in the process of ongoing professional development and meetings. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency members and external agencies. Models professional standards and ethics in accordance with EBF Code of Conduct Strategic Plan Mission and Vision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in early childhood education (ECE) Child Development or a closely related field with 5 years of experience working in a licensed and/or regulated early childhood setting with children birth through 8 years of age required. Two years previous experience working within the Quality First Coaching system preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.


Regulatory

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Current unrestricted AZ drivers license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3 years). Three (3) years of driving experience required.
  • Must be able to pass extensive criminal background checks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (employer provides).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CPR and First Aid certification (Paid training).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Specialty Instructor Status in the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and practices of multi-method instruction. Ability to present skills and techniques in accordance with adult learning standards. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships in the community including other technical assistance providers. Ability to develop and maintain a dual focus on relationships with participants and program activities by fostering a strengths-based approach. Knowledge of community resources and referrals in the community. Possess a high level of computer proficiency.

Visual acuity to read information from computer screens and form and assess participants wellbeing. Able to communicate verbally with program participants as needed for daily operations. Hearing ability for communication in persona phone and/or other electronic methods. Manual dexterity for typing and writing. Able to stoop squat reach pull push stretch ascend and descend stairs stand and sit for long periods of time. May be required to work additional hours or days depending on circumstances.
