Junior Derivatives Middle Office Analyst
Location: Warsaw hybrid model
We are supporting an international financial services organization in their search for a Junior Derivatives Middle Office Analyst to join their Operations function. This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 6 months experience in Middle Office Operations or a related financial environment and who want to build their expertise in OTC derivatives within a global dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the accurate and timely flow of derivative trades across FX IRS Energy and other OTC products ensuring strong operational control and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Main Purpose of the Role
To support the daytoday functions of the Derivatives Middle Office team ensuring smooth trade processing and assisting in resolving operational queries. The role contributes to maintaining seamless processes from trade execution through to trade capture and onward processing into backoffice systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily Middle Office activities supporting desks trading FX IRS Power and other OTC derivative products.
- Support accurate trade flow from trading platforms to internal systems and help ensure that all trades are correctly captured and processed.
- Monitor daily controls and contribute to endofday checks ensuring any outstanding issues are escalated promptly.
- Help investigate and resolve trade discrepancies by liaising with brokers clients and internal colleagues.
- Assist with preparing daily weekly and monthly reporting for front office and senior management.
- Maintain team procedure documents and support updates to operational checklists.
- Contribute to ongoing projects and process improvements within the Middle Office function.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience in Middle Office Operations or Trade Support.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Basic understanding of OTC derivatives (e.g. FX IRS commodities) and an interest in developing deeper product knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Good organization and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency with Excel and comfort working with trading and operational systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients brokers and colleagues effectively.
- Good timemanagement abilities and a structured approach to prioritizing tasks.
- Reliable proactive and eager to learn.
- Capable of working both independently and as a collaborative team member.
